Rob Taylor Gone!
Rob gets his chips in against A9 with AA on a 78TJ board in a pot which started with a lot of raising pre-flop.

Good Call Monsieur !
Adam Fallon vs John Keown
Mmmm Min Raise?
Donal O'connor called a raise from Marc McDonnell in late position with AJ. The flop came down jack high all hearts. Donal has the ace of hearts and calls Marc's bet. The blank turn is checked but Marc bets out 15k on the blank river. Donal min raises to 30k and Marc makes the call with KK.
John Eames - Set Master
Dermot Blaine gets unlucky
Dermot Blaine flops the nut straight and gives his opponent some rope. A 2 appears on the turn and he manages to get all in against a set of deuces. Unfortunatley for Dermot the board pairs the river and he is out.
JP Whyte Gone
JP Whtye was all in pre-flop holding A8 against Barry Hand's KK. The door card was an Ace but when the dealer slid out the cards it was hiding a king also. No miracles and JP is gone.
Rory Matthews Doubles Up
Rory Matthews called all in on a low 773 flop against Michael Trimby. Rory has JJ and Michael KT. No 3 outer and Rory gets shipped a 160k pot.

Day 2 starts with a bang!
98 players returned for Day 2 proper. Already we have lost one player - Pat Bonner. Julian Thew said "He got imaginative" which coming from him means it probably was a strange hand :)~
Regis Burlot doubled up his French compatriot Nicolas Ragot in an AA vs AK coup.
Tony Baitson outdrew Cormac McGinty's AA with QQ to double up early.

Play ended for the day,
Looks like Graham Clarkson has got through Day 1b with the most chips. He has 168,350.
Blonde 5 min Massacre
2 Blondepoker forum members just bit the dust in sick circumstances. First Gordon "GiMac" McArthur flopped a set of sixes on a 367 flop. On the turn (9) he got all in vs Rob Taylor who had 88. the river was an 8. Gordon was unable to better his 6max bubble and Omaha final table performances in the earlier events.
Dewi "Dewi_Cool" James had QT on a TTx flop and got it in on vs T6, the 6 on the river sent the Welshman packing.

Anthony Cartwright is out
Anthony Cartwright pushed his last 6300 in on a TT5 flop containing 2 hearts. He was called by Stephen Sarsfield's pocket 4's. The turn and river came 8c 9s and the Liverpudlian is gone.
John O'Shea has been Busted!
John O'Shea's elimination means we have 63 players left and the Muldoon/Mattern/Devlin/Egan/Weafer /Taylor/Rosanio table has been broken.
Alan Howcroft Eliminated
Two hands saw the demise of Alan Howcroft. First his AQ was no good vs KQ on a QQ2 flop, king on the river. Then he got his remaining chips in with KK against AQ and and ace on the turn killed his chances of progressing in the tournament.
Good Call by Fran Egan

Fran Egan raises it up in early position. John Weafer calls and Michael Muldoon re-raises. Fran calls and John passes.
The board reads 88T24 rainbow and Fran is facing a 30k bet after checking the river. He had check called 8k then 17k on the flop and turn previously. Some speechplay ensues before Michael calls the clock. More speech play follows and with 15 seconds to go still Fran makes the call and shows KT off which is good against Michael's unknown hand.

Rory Rees & Shane McGrory Out!
Rory Rees gets his short (circa 10k) stack in with a flush draw versus the straight draw of Arnaud Mattern. Rory had a blocker as well but Arnaud still hits.
Shane McGrory got in versus Ben Turnstill and Shane Walsh on a 879 flop. The turn was a 5 and Ben then gets his last chips in with 88 and Shane Walsh makes the call with 9T. The river pairs the 7 and Ben rakes in a 66k pot.
